Welcome, my name is Deb Googe, but from here on I shall be known as
da Googie
I am probably best known as the bass player in My Bloody Valentine and the Thurston Moore Group.
I have also had the great pleasure of playing bass with Brix Smith and Primal Scream and I formed Snowpony with Stereolab keyboardist Katharine Gifford.
Along the way I have also recorded with various artist including: Tim Burgess, Ann Waldman and Vegyn.
But that's all another story, this is about da Googie!
I started doing solo performances under the name da Googie in 2023. In 2024 I brought our my first recordings under that moniker; a split 12" with my lovely friends Too Many Things. March 2025 saw the release of The Golden Thread, a full length album recorded with another lovely friend - I have lots of lovely friends :-), Cara Tivey.

The Golden Thread
March 2025 saw the release of my first full length album, a collaboration with my great friend of many years, Cara Tivey. The album is called The Golden Thread and it came out through Tiny Global Productions. There are only a few copies remaining of the album so we have decided to only sell them at gigs. You can still buy the digital version from my bandcamp page.
The album has been described as:

Tiny Global Productions
It is with great sadness that we say farewell to Tiny Global Productions. After 10 years of putting out great records John and Gabi have decided to call it quits. Between Brexit and the Trump tariffs, it's all got to difficult, so they have decided to shut up shop and buckle down and get 'real' jobs, which in all likelihood means they won't be putting in any where near the amount of time they have doing the label and might actually be able to eat.
We'd like to thank them both for having faith in us and bringing out our first record, The Golden Thread. We are both really grateful and wish them the best with everything going forward. Big love to you both.
